We've heard some discussion about the difficulty in installing/removing HQ Props. HQ props are designed with a very "snug" fit to make sure there are no unnecessary rotations from coming from lose prop nuts. The last thing we want is to drop out of the sky, while our props fly away without us.
We've come up with a simple and easy solution to aid in the installation/removal process. All you need are your wire cutters or needle nose pliers.
Hollow out the middle of the prop a bit using the wire cutter. Make 2-3 rotations to remove some of the plastic on the inner portion. Go slow, it's okay to not remove enough in the beginning, just repeat the step until the fit feels right.
What you'll have left is a larger opening that will help with installation and removal of the prop. All this of course is optional. In the image below, the prop on the left has been hollowed out. The prop on the right is in it's original condition.
We hope this helps! Please leave a comment below, letting us know how helpful this was. Also, if you have any topics in mind that you'd like us to cover, please leave that in the comment as well!
